Off to NeverLand... Soon...

I listened to this song to encourage me to pass my SOC.

Now that I've passed my SOC, I can peacefully fly to my "NeverLand"!

NeverLand
by F.I.R

I will never be afraid

Do my best 当成信念 航向天的那一边
拼着地图 我能找到 心中那座 美丽乐园

Far away 不会累 Find the way

Thank God!

This week! Thank God! Yes! Finally I passed my sickening SOC! Though I didn't pass it on last Monday. I was lucky enough to pass it on yesterday morning with a surprising timing of 9 minutes and 26 seconds!

Finally I cleared this veto factor into getting my future 3SG rank on my shoulder...

Wow... I still wonder how I did it when my past SOC timings were around 15 minutes... 13 minutes... 11 minutes...

But the success is still sweet in my mind.

(^_^)

I think I finally overcame the psychological barrier of doing and passing my SOCs.

The feeling of doing my passing SOC was absolutely sianess, no emotions, no feelings. Just pure "death" to doing that SOC.

Well, when one's dead, one's not dying anymore... Hence, there's no fear, I guess.

Anyway, I will be flying off to Taiwan tomorrow at 2.30am! But I must reach the Changi International Airport Terminal 1 at 12.30am for rendezvou.

I am definitely excited to visit Taiwan.

It is a very nice place with lots of nature. I especially like its countryside as seen on TV... But I never expected to visit it so close as to living in its wild literally for 4 days and 9 days repectively and continuously...

Looks like I'm in for what I really wish for, huh?

Going to Taiwan?!

Yupz! So much for my for my lament over my SOC woes... But I'm going to fly off to Taiwan next weekend, on 16th April 2005, to do my training there.

And I'll be in Taiwan for 3 WEEKS from then on!
(Returning on around 6th or 7th May 2005...)

Hopefully, before that, I can kill my SOC woes by passing my SOC next Monday before it.

Lots of excitements and hopes for my trip to Taiwan.

The main thing that driven me to look forward to it was the 4 R&R days after the training exercises which would last about two and a half weeks. (R&R = Rest & Relax? Basically those are the touring days)

And of course, hopefully the R&R days would be full of shopping, having fun at play and also not to miss all the sight-seeing!

But I think I can only enjoy that peacefully after I pass my SOC next Monday!

So please pray for me and wish me good luck guys!

The Blame in My Mind... ~~~(-.-)~~~

"Why, Jeffery, why?!

All you have to do is to concentrate on your breathing, watch your toes and just keep RUNNING!

Do you want to fail your SOC and then fail your good ASLC course in Alpha?!

Do you want to stay as a trainee in SISPEC for another EXTRA 11 weeks?!!

No right?! Then why stop?! Never give up! Never stop! PERSEVERE then!

You want to fail course?! You don't want to get your 3SG rank?!

Next Monday could be your last chance to pass the SOC or live regretting it!

Since you have the will and determination to run the 15km Endurance Run all the way today, why can't you do the same for your SOC?

Its just 9 minutes and 59 seconds of suffering to heaven!

RUN FOR YOU LIFE! JEFFERY! PERSEVERE!!!"

Limited Period of Freedom.

This week. Well, well, well. Time really flies. Another week of training is gone, and I've reach my weekend, but my weekend's freedom is also ending in a few hours' time!

Haiz! So sianz! :(

Army certainly knows how to squeeze you and waste your time, sometimes. Was doing an Army Ammo Safety slogan design.

I did a very simple design, with the slogan, "Ammo are meant for the Enemies, Not for YOU!"

It certainly sounded quite lame and a bit unprofessional for the slogan. But I simply do not wish to spend too much of my precious limted period of freedom thinking of this unpaid job...

Anyway, as for this week's tarining. It was not too bad. I had some training on how to breach and fight in trenches. I also had my Exercise GrandSlam II this week. It was a very short exercise, which lasted for about a day and a night, but it certainly was tiring to sleep little and climb knolls early in the morning...

The highlight training of this week was the en-planing and de-planing of the Chinook CH47D miltitary transport helicopter. It was quite an experience getting in and out, and taking a ride in it. But the ride was darn short. The promised 5 minutes, only lasted around a minute or so.

But well, it is understandable taking an aircraft ride ain't cheap. That sorty by the chinook cost $100,000 on its fuel! And that's really expensive!

Anyway, I'm going out for a movie later with my friends. I'm kinda rushing now.

Argh! : <

Really hated this kind of squeeze on my precious time...

DARN!
