Check out my new blog!

I have a new blog! I named it:

ministry-of-solutions

I'm civilised, again.

Well, finally I am back from my reservist and I am blogging (Yes, I am a bit bored and bo liao now, hence I am blogging).

Reservist was fun.

At least for the MUTs (aka Make-Up Trainees), MUT like me.

MUT are people who deferred their previous ICT and hence the make-up.

With basically no men under my care (all but one combat man, in which he have at least two other section commanders like me), MUT commanders walk free where they wanted with resepcts to our attached superiors, whom most of the time do not know what to do with us as there was no vacancies of their own commanders deferring their ICT.

But of course, MUTs also learn the combat or technical skills they needed to brush off the rust after ORDing for years. That man I got ORDed 12 years ago and he's now 31, and the ICT was his first one -.-'

Speaking of deficiencies in the great organisation..

Anyway, my military know-how are still pretty fresh after 2 years when I ORDed. But my field combat skills are a little rusty as I do not use them in my "lo bo" NSF unit life.

Still, I managed to lead a small section when their own section commander fallen ill. The feeling of teaching and leading men in the field is good (unless you screwed up).

Managed to guide a platoon sergeant kawan who had trouble with numbers and he was appointed as an ammo in-charge for live firing. Tried my best to teach him but in the end, the left hand print is ALWAYS different from the right hand print because they were too many hands dealing with the bullets.

As before, the ammo party is certanly nothing to part about when you couldn't sleep for 26 hours.

For the last of the fun, its always good to be the enemy.

The down side is really the bloody mozzies, in which some are commandoes. The can bite through your uniform and are immuned to standard issued repellant which corrodes plastics.

I have more than 10 swells all over my limbs.

Well, so much for the memories =D

Capacity Issues..

From the whine of this, sounds like I need a holiday. But definitely not in green..

Multiple IT applications login fail. Upcoming greening. And... my boss, the team leader, is leaving us after this month.

How bad is this going to be? I don't know.

All I know is I need to clear my work before going green and then that time I can't see my team leader till the last 2 days for the month.

Alex is really a good leader. But then we all have to search for greener pastures. Yet, ironically, from a healthcare company, she chose tobacco company as her new pastures.

Then, no one might not be replacing her, in which her work might fall onto my immediate supervisor's shoulders who would then pass me more work which I was already trying to learn and cope. And then I can't pass my design work to my coordinator (who somehow always passes back saying she needs help) who was suppose to be doing most of my designing job for last month, but she can't, as she's just lacking confidence in touching design software after I taught her 2 times.

Someones need to learn new things man!
