Karma...

Just showered and waiting for my hair to dry. I decide to dut off my blog typing a little something.

Went to "Ponyo on the Cliff" just now with BB and then "ong Bak 2" with BB and some of my west-sider gang.

The "ponyo" movie is really cute and nice to watch. The animation is really unique and I think it is well-applauded for the many animators efforts into drawing such a nice story.

But then "Ong Bak 2" is really shit. The story does have a lesson to tell but its really anti-climax and out of my expectations.

There is Tony Jaa, whose family was killed by a rebel lord to overthrow the Sukhothai dynasty and eventually became a king. There he grew up with a bunch of bandits whom taught him all the martial arts.

There, he went to kill the rebel lord who became king, slashing him several times on his back.

In the end, guess what?

The King didn't die as shown in the last part of the story (because the king wore a wonderful cuirass in which Tony didn't manage to "feel" with his sword even though he got the experience of slicing peopl's flesh with it..)

The chief bandit was the hired fighter who killed Tony Jaa's dad in the first place. And then allowed Tony to slice his throat as asking for his forgiveness during a fight (so that the king will let his whole village of bandits live).

And Tony's childhood sweetheart has grown beautiful to the liking of the king. And that's that. NO ROMANCE (maybe Tony thought he wasn not good in romancing so he cut off the story totally).

What happen to Tony? He got captured by the massive troops (no fight) after the chief bandit allowed him to slice his throat.

End of story. Tony Jaa is dead by torturing by the king.

The narrator says this is karma because he didn't put down revenge from his mind.

WTF! That's really a punch at the audiences' intelligence!

(Update: I just read about "Ong Bak 2" on Wikipedia. The movie production it some budget rocks and Tony Jaa went missing from the set (but he's fine). They continued the movie production, and hence left us with a losuy cliffhanger. There's "Ong Bak 3". I am really doubtful to watch the continued story.)

I need a..

Holiday on my own. (Notice the boldness).

No Korea. No company.

All alone travelling, nobody I need to attend to.

I call this independent soul-searching.
